Free-Time is an ongoing work started in 2018 in collaboration with US and Italian Law Makers and Social Activists to draft a new proposal for UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee, to inscribe Free-Time as an endangered cultural manifestation in need to urgent safeguarding.
This speculative proposal opens up a platform for discussion to understand the implication of neoliberal policies on the job’s market and the virtual abolition of free time from the social narrative in connection to precariousness/gig economy and other aggressive ramification of immaterial production (…)
The inscription of Free in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding imply the assumption that no cultural heritage can be produced and re-produced without a time freed from labor or work. (…)
